Hi, I was hoping someone could help shed some light on this problem...

Customer clicks the MySQL databases icon in cpanel and the page seems to take a long time to load - eventually after a minute or so, the mysql page appears but contains no content.

This is happening for one user only and happens also if loged into his cpanel account via WHM passthru as admin.

I presume at this point its trying to read which databases belong to the user and list them - what could be the prob ?

I'll try repairing all his DB's and see if thats it.

    Any other suggestions ?

Do you know if the DBs were ever listed through Cpanel for this user?

If reparing the DBs doesn't help, I'd do the following:

    1. Login to phpMyAdmin as root and backup the relevant databases
    2. Drop all relevant databases
    3. Create the databases through Cpanel when logged in as the relevant user and check that the databases list correctly
    4. Login to phpMyAdmin as root and copy back the data into the databases from the backups

The user could see the databases before.

Thanks for your input. I'm not sure that re-creating the databases will make a difference as they are still all working fine and I can see them in phpmyadmin. It seems to be just the displaying of the databases in cpanel.

I've since found 2 users on this server with the same problem.

Cpanel wont listtheir databases because of some kind of permissions issue.

If the user goes directly to PHPMyAdmin - he can see his DB's but cant drop any.

Does this mean I need to look into a possible problem with the main "mysql" database which holds the permissions ?
