Hi I'm having a strange issue. Sometimes when I try accessing PhpMyAdmin through a cPanel account it will deny me and the template will look broken, saying my user doesn't have permission etc.

I've been fixing this by changing the password for the cPanel account in WHM but it's getting past annoying now. It's seemingly random. The password change works but then I'll go to login to it a week or so later and it'll be broken again?

    Hi,

When you reset the password, try enabling the digest authentication..

I'm not sure what that would help? I'm connecting from macOS not Windows, and I have a valid SSL certificate?

It does not matter from where you login. cPanel interface is web-based, so it is logged in via browser only, so you will have to select the option I sated while resetting the password..

No, what I mean is, that digest authentication is pointless if my server is not Windows?

    Hi @inteldigital

If you go to WHM>>Account Information>>List Accounts and click the + symbol next to the account then change the password as well as check "Sync MySQL password" does the issue persist?

It's only present if there's a .my.cnf in the user's home directory. It's the only thing I could think of to cause the mysql passwords to become unsynchronized like you were describing. I would suggest opening a ticket if/when it occurs again (and before you change it) so we can observe and investigate the behavior on the server as it's occurring.
