    Hello all!

This is a freash install of mysql. 4.1.18

After the install i got the error ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Hitting the forums came across this post: Click Me

When i get to step 4 on post #6, i can use the "mysql" command and i dont get the premission error. and everything works. mysql shows as being up, phpmyadmin works. But as soon as i end the ssh session, mysql fails and myphpadmin does not work.

    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-C112
    CentOS 4.2 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

Any help please.(This is on a VPS)

    Donnie
