    I'm working on creating custom cPanel module based on the documentation on the cPanel developer site.

    The documentation mentioned mentioned that system-installed perl modules are not available and that if they are needed they need to be placed in to /usr/local/cpanel/perl.

    I need my module to get some data from the local MySQL server. I don't want to place extra modules in that directory if I don't have to. I would imagine that there some methods in the cpanel namespace that can used to establish a MySQL connection and run queries.

    What would be the best way to do that?

    I noticed that the module EntrySpool.pm had this: use DBI ();

    When I use that in my custom module, it gives me a "not found" error.

    Any help will much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Max

    Unfortunately mysql utilities are not part of our toolset, mainly due to GPL licensing issues. What data are you looking to grab?

    Matt,
    I'm creating a module that will allow users to manage their ColdFusion DSNs. There's a database that I need to access to pull some information for this.
