Hi all,
I have optimized mysql settings in my VPS, but my site is still much slower than the same site which is on a shared server.

The VPS is with 8 CPUs and 1G RAM.

and here is my.inf:
[mysqld]
default-storage-engine = INNODB
max_connnections = 300
key_buffer = 256M
myisam_sort_buffer_size = 128M
join_buffer_size = 4M
read_buffer_size = 2M
sort_buffer_size = 5M
table_cache = 1024
thread_cache_size = 8
interactive_timeount = 28800
wait_timeout = 20
connect_timeout = 10
max_allowed_packet = 16M
max_connect_errors = 100
query_cache_size = 32M
query_cache_type = 1
tmp_table_size = 16M

#skip_innodb
innodb_file_per_table = 1

[mysqld_safe]
open_files_limit = 8192
Is there something wrong with the my.cnf?

By the way, when I tried to add some innodb options into my.cnf (like innodb_buffer_pool_size), it always failed to restart mysql....what's the matter?

Thanks for any suggestions.
