All of the sudden today mysql decided to forget all the passwords for all the databses. If I go re-add the passord it works fine but the server it happened on has about 150 databases.

Is there a way to have the password updated server wide for all mysql databases?

    Hello,

It seems you have updated MYSQL version without checking the option "Use old style passwords", so you are facing this problem. I too have gone through this issue and have to reset all the passwords manually. I would suggest you dont waste the time and reset the password manually.... Let me know if I can help you with this if you wish ...
