mysql my.cn and cpanel

    HI

    iv triad editing /etc/my.cnf and /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/my.cnfto change mysql setting as i want to add
    set-variable = local-infile=1
    for mangento iv done that and restarted sql and Apache but the setting is now there when I cheek using mysqladmin variables or in phpmyadmin


    [mysqld]set-variable = max_connections=500safe-show-databaseset-variable = local-infile=1wait_timeout = 28000

    can any body help

    Hi Sam,

    Just edit /etc/my.cnf. Put the local-infile=1 under [mysqld] and then stop, start mysql service.

    Root Administrator
    set-variable is deprecated at this point for MySQL, so you wouldn't want to use that for any variable in /etc/my.cnf file.
