    Hello,

    I run RH Ent3 with WMH 9.4.0.
My problem is mysql - there are 10-20 processes like:

    /usr/sbin/mysqld--basedir=/--datadir=/var/lib/mysql--user=mysql--pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/unix2.20host.pl.pid--skip-locking--port=3306--socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

opened in my system, every takes some mem and cpu, and they don't close.

I have also one dedicated server with Fedora Core 1 and there I have only (?) one such process.

How to optimize mysql for better performace and less cpu usage for PIV 2,8 HT 1024RAM? Any idea? Also - with httpd I have the same problem - on Fedora there is only one httpd process and on RH Ent3 - from 7-10 to 20-25. Till now I'm solving this problem by restarting mysql and httpd from time to time, but this is simply stupid, isn't it?

This is some of my.cnf on my server:

and there are some my httpd.conf settings:

Please give me some advice or please help me find someone who knows how to optimize mysql and httpd - of course, I can pay :D
