    Hello,

We are encountering some problems by connecting from the public network to our mysql database hosted with cpanel.

It worked until now... i read on the net that mysql doesn't allow external connections so I tried to add the ip's that need to connect, to the remote mysql sistem offered by cpanel.

    NO SUCCESS!!

those ip still can't connect to the databases.

Anyone can help us with this issue?

Is there any error message are you receiving while connecting the database remotely?

Make sure you have port 3306 in your firewall open, otherwise you bang on a closed door ;)
