    Hello,

I recently bought a dedicated server, and this is the first time that I actually tested the MySQL server on the server. I seem to have a problem with MySQL 4.1.14. Whenever I try to install any SQL based scripts (in which edits are done to the database), the page just hangs as if it times out. This happens with any script that requires a database. Upon further inspection I've noticed that whenever this happens, the processlist shows the query as 'sleeping'. I don't know what I can do. I know I am putting in the right information. However if I try to do a query via phpMyAdmin everything goes fine. As I said before, I have no clue as to what the problem could be. This is on a Fedora Core 4 Linux box.

This is what my 'my.cnf' file contains.

Ah sorry for the double-post, but I fixed the problem. Seems I forgot to recompile PHP after upgrading MySQL... :P
