    Hi,

I have just set up a clean install of cPanel on a CentOS VPS. I am having the same mySQL problems I see reported by lots of other users. I've tried jumping through the various hoops suggested in the forums, but to no avail.

Is this normal? Should a clean install have these kinds of problems right "out of the box"?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hello,

This may be "/tmp" permission issue or try restart it after making sure /etc/my.cnf is written right:D

    Regards,
    Ghulam Yaseen

This seems to be a widespread issue...lots of reports of MySQL not working in cPanel. I just set up a clean install of cPanel on a second dedicated server, and the same thing.

Are there any errors that are showing up that may help track the issue down?

    First try /scripts/upcp --force

If that does not resolve the issue, please let one of our technical analysts take a look at this for you:
