After (auto) upgrade, can't launch ANY tool that connects to the database (Munin, CSF, SQL Tunner...)
I thought that root password was changed, but when i try to change it ( SQL Services > MySQL Root Password) i get:

    MySQL Root Password
    MySQL password change failed!!
A forced reset will now be attempted.
    ..found binary [/usr/sbin/mysqld]..
    Waiting for mysql to terminate.....Done
    Waiting for mysql to restart.....Done
    Waiting for mysql to terminate.....Done

mysqld_safe (/bin/sh /usr/bin/mysqld_safe --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/ running as root with PID 3744 (process table check method)
    mysqld (/usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --log-error=/var/lib/mysql/hostname.err --open-files-limit=3072 --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/ running as mysql with PID 3868 (pidfile check method)
    mysql started ok
The MySQL root password has been changed.
Password changed for root to xxxxxxxxxx
But password is NOT changed i think; Munin does'nt work, SQL Tuner always request my password and, even after changing it it says that may password is not good.

    What's wrong doc ?

EDIT: Forget, bad entry at my.cnf...sorry !
