Hi,
I'm new to cPanel so I think I may have made it angry!
I noticed the mysql root password was blank so I went ahead and updated it from the shell. Well now something keeps shutting it down and then I get an email from mysqlconnectioncheck saying I need to update /root/.my.cnf. I understand the error and updated that file using a text editor, but the problem still persists.
Recently I ran the /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/mysqlpasswd command with root and the password as its parameters and so far things are stable. Is this what I was missing or is there more I still need to do? Thanks!
