Dear community!

Planning to install a new server and wanted from the beginning the mysql databases to be stored in the /home directory. Is there a option/command to do it during the cpanel installation? Unfortunately I made a bad experience when I changed the mysql directory on a live server.

I'm not familiar with a setting that will install the MySQL/MariaDB databases outside its default directory.
May I ask WHY you want to install the databases to /home instead of its default location?

You wouldn't be able to set this up as part of the initial install, but it can be changed easily after the installation is completed. Details on how to perform that work can be found here:
