    I use CloudLinux LVE and I want to upgrade mysql to 5.6 from 5.5 using MySQL Upgrade from WHM but I receive error

    Your server’s MySQL RPM target is set to “unmanaged”. You cannot use the MySQL Upgrade feature while your server is in this state. To allow cPanel & WHM to manage MySQL on your server, read the rpm.versions system documentation.

    I follow all steps from documentation but I have the same error.

    All other servers with the same CloudLinux work perfectly to upgrade MySQL.
    root@server011 [~]# cat /var/cpanel/rpm.versions.d/local.versions
    ---
    file_format:
    version: 2
    install_targets: {}

    rpm_groups: {}

    rpm_locations: {}

    srpm_sub_packages: {}

    srpm_versions: {}

    target_settings:
    clamav: installed
    easy-tomcat7: uninstalled
    url_templates: {}

    root@server011 [~]#

    And I run /scripts/check_cpanel_rpms --fix

    Any ideea?

    Many thanks!

    Hello :)

    Please ensure you are using the latest version of cPanel available on your build tier before upgrading MySQL. If you are not, you can update cPanel via:

    Code:
    /scripts/upcp --force
    Assuming you have MySQL 5.5 installed and you have not installed MariaDB/Percona, then you could ensure it's detected as installed with a command such as:

    Code:
    /scripts/update_local_rpm_versions --edit target_settings.MySQL55 installed
    Thank you.
