Hey,

The thread title pretty much says it all.

We've been having a semi-frequent issue in which our users get a MySQL Database created, a MySQL user connected to the database, and their scripts configured accordingly.

Somewhere along the line, the MySQL users are not only disconnected from the database, but completely removed from cPanel/the server.

The issue is easily resolved by recreating the MySQL user and reconnecting the user to the database, but does anyone know why MySQL users are disappearing in the first place? Has anyone experienced this issue before? Is there a log file we're missing somewhere that could explain this?

Any information you guys have would be much obliged.

Thanks!

We have had this problem and have isolated it a little more.

When we use MySQL account management through CPanel logged in directly as the user, it loses the user on the database.

When we go to the same page starting from WHM, then go to cpanel, the user is not lost and we can restore it.

Any way to fix this? Is CPanel changing permissions?

Help!

This has happened here also, a couple of times.

Did you have to do something specific on the MySQL account screen in order for the db user to disappear? And was this replicated on all accounts server-wide, or only on the ones which had trouble in the first place?
