I am having a 2GB four core openvz vps. Default storage engine used is myisam. Mysql is found using high ram even if in off peak hours. Mysql is found using more than 1gb of memory. Current mysql server version used is 5.5.42.

This is causing the server to get cached. I need a proper solution for this. I have tried several mysql optimization techniques.

cpanel has stopped support of its inbuilt tuner script "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/mysqltuner.pl". I am now getting the below message while trying to execute it.
-bash: /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/mysqltuner.pl: No such file or directory

Let me know if there is any effective method to avoid memory usage for mysql in cpanel server.

I have verified the variable "performance_schema" which normally uses high memory meanwhile it is found in OFF status. As per my knoledge performance_schema is the variable that can induce high ram usage.
