mysql web pages only loading for Win NT/9x/Mac users

I just ran the mysql 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade, and all of the sudden my web sites are only visible to user agents using Win NT, 9x and Mac based on examining my latest 300 visitors logs and my personal experience on a XP PC... Win XP are all getting DNS Errors. I've searched everywhere for a bug like this but cannot find anything. HTML pages load fine, phpmyadmin works fine... everything seems to be okay in terms of troubleshooting. Has anyone heard of anything like this?

Have you since rebuilt Apache and PHP? This needs to be done for PHP/MySQL-based sites to work.

Other than that, I can't see how it can be possible for a MySQL upgrade to affect certain OS users - the two are in no way related.

Php was compiled with an old version of mysql libraries, according to my host. And it took a lot of convincing I had a problem because my host was able to pull the mysql pages up fine and didn't think I had a problem, yet 90% of users couldn't load the page. Maybe it wasn't OS, but I tried three different browsers and couldn't pull a page up that my host had no problems with.
