I did a separate mysql4 installation on our server. Switched off mysql3, removed the rpm and made sure it isn't reinstalled again.
Everything is working fine appart from the occasional server lockup (we have to cold boot to get it up again)
My question is: can this be related to the fact that I did a separate install and removed mysql3 (in other words can this be a cpanel / mysql4 problem)?
Will this problem go away if I upgrade the mysql3 version that was installed with cpanel?
