I'm on fbsd 5.4 and running the latest cPanel STABLE build (I think RELEASE-118). I update ports with portsnap regularly (at least once in 24 hrs), but cpanel over-rides my updates with the the latest for 5.4 it finds from fbsd ftp or cpanel ftp or whatever.

My mysqld binary is gone. I had 4.1.22 installed. I tried running cpanel scripts

    /scripts/mysqlup --force

in hopes it will repair or re-install or get mysql up from somewhere, but it failed.

    Now, I! have installed mysql41-server and mysql41-client from /usr/ports/databases.

Should I expect cpanel to be broken because of this?
