mysqld restart fail?

    mysqld restart fail?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Why it show that?

    root@p4 [~]# mysqld restart
    050726 0:19:33 Warning: Asked for 196608 thread stack, but got 126976
    050726 0:19:33 Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use
    050726 0:19:33 Do you already have another mysqld server running on port: 3306 ?
    050726 0:19:33 Aborting

    050726 0:19:33 mysqld: Shutdown Complete

    root@p4 [~]#
    root@p4 [~]#
    root@p4 [~]# mysqld start

    please check any mysql process are running.

    ps ax | grep mysql

    kill those processes then try to restart mysqld. It can help. Also it is worth having a check on /etc/my.cnf
