I just got a new dedicated server and have moved all the files over. I have a lot of sites on the server so I dont want to change the nameserver unless i have to.

I have changed the ip's in my registrars DB to point to the new server but it still points to the old one for some reason.

I have tried deleting the nameserver entries on the old server but it will not let me. It says its currently registered with ICANN or something.

Do I need to do the IP Migration? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Carey D.

If the DNS and related zones are configured properly on your server, you need to update/change the IPs of your NameServers with your registrar. It might take 24-48 hours for the system to propagate.
