Just wondering how many zones there should be in this file and what they are for.

Should it just be the hostname?

This file will contain a link to /var/named for every dns record on your server.

Hi, thanks for that I checked the named.conf file and it had some zones in it from when I'd made a mistake with the DNS records in the initial set up. I edited them out in the file manager and then deleted them in the cPanel. I changed the MX record priority to 10 and it works fine now.

    Good to hear your fixed.

Also you could rebuild your named with the following:
    /scripts/rebuildnamedconf
