disable & re enable Bind in WHM
    Nameserver Selection

    if that does not work
    /scripts/cleandns
    /scripts/rebuildnamedconf

i have tried the above and this did not fix the issue. This is on Cpanel DNS only we have 65,000 zone files on this server and it keeps crashing nothing I have done fixes this I submitted a cpanel ticket and even the techs there worked on the issue for over 8 hours with no success.

    anyone ever seen this???

    anyone ever fixed it?

I'm sure the cpanel techs all ready tried

    mv /etc/named.conf /etc/named.conf.old

    touch /etc/named.conf

    /scripts/rebuildnamedconf

    if that does not work

are you running bind-chroot ? if so try it non chrooted
    disable in

    /etc/sysconfig/named

and repeat the the steps above

I guess the fix for this must be a secret.
