I have setup a new server with cpanel, all looks ok, but strange problem with bind: it's working, i can see proccess named and can connect to the server on 53 port, but i recieve emails, that
named failed @ Sat Dec 9 09:14:00 2006. A restart was attempted automagicly.
And in the whm /scripts/servup red bullet named (9.3.2) failed. Any ideas what is wrong?
P.S. named working correctly

Did you, by any chance, run any of these commands:
/scripts/fixrncd
/scripts/named
/scripts/fixbuggynamed

Did you check the log files including /var/log/messages for more clues about the cause of this problem?

I repeat that named runs correcrtly, in messages:

Dec 10 10:20:05 us1 named[10720]: stopping command channel on 127.0.0.1#953
Dec 10 10:20:05 us1 named[10720]: exiting
Dec 10 10:20:05 us1 named[10817]: starting BIND 9.3.2 -u bind -c /etc/namedb/named.conf -t /var/named -u root
Dec 10 10:20:05 us1 named[10817]: command channel listening on 127.0.0.1#953
Dec 10 10:20:05 us1 named[10817]: running

If i run nslookup using this server i have correct answer, i see the named process. The question is why cpsrvd thinking is the named failed. I run any fix rndc and named scripts from /scripts/ folder up to upcp --force but it not solves the problem. I use:

WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-S95
FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE-p11 i386 - WHM X v3.1.0

When i restart BIND via WHM i reciev next message:
Attempting to restart named
Waiting for named to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished.

named status

named has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "named is not running").
