this error after saving an edit of a dns file

    #######
    zone domain.com/IN: loaded serial 1057570191
    OK

ndc: connection to remote host closed
This may indicate that the remote server is using an older version of
the command protocol, this host is not authorized to connect,
    or the key is invalid.
    Zone Modified!
    #########

I also get similar messages on almost everything I do, including setting up new accounts, adding an A entry for the hostname (which has 1 but keeps asking me to add it).

my main domain has resolved to the server but no others, I have had the machine running for 2 days with the nameserver changes active

I have searched these forums and tried some of the suggestions but no change, any advise appreciated :D

    regards
    tom

Are you using two machines for nameservers? If so, have you tried re-setting a trust relationship?

You may want to double check how your nameservers are configured in WHM. Click on edit setup and scroll all the way to the bottom; make sure that everything is configured as it should. If you make any changes, be sure to restart named.

    thank you for replying :)

everything is as it should be as far as I tell. both nameservers have the correct IP and A records.

    what does the error mean?
is something at my providers end?

    These should fix your problem.
If not, then you'll need to take a look at the logs for this and see exactly what the issue is, fixing it from there.

Perhaps you should contact your dedicated server provider. It's very difficult to diagnose the exact cause of this issue without access to the machine (read: in a forum).
