I think it would be much better to confirm the user really wants to delete a mysql database before just doing it.

Tonight I went to copy the name of a database but in highlighting the name somehow clicked the "delete" image which is right next to it (that hadn't finished loading so I couldn't see "delete") To make a long story short, there was no confirmation - the database was just gone.

It would be much better if when you clicked "Delete" you got a screen "Do you really want to delete this database?" Yes | No to prevent such sillly mistakes.

I totally agree, there should be a confirmation before a delete takes place. Please add such a feature.

I was just about to post a similar message with my hosting company after deleting a MySQL database (intentionally). I was shocked - yes, shocked! - to find that there was no deletion confirmation!

But then I found this thread which confirmed that this was a cpanel problem.

This is simply too easy to do (the Delete button is only a few pixels away from the Check button). An action with potentially disastrous consequences should always have a confirmation attached to it.

I can't believe there's no confirm. There's just no way I'd ever keep any important data in an account that uses cpanel. It's just a matter of time before I'll accidentally delete the database.

You've got my vote to move this right up to the TOP of the work stack!

Potential for DISASTER, especially when I found out that the databases don't restore easily!

I recommend that anyone with a shell account learn how to do mysqldump and restore with mysql.

I was lucky to learn of the DELETE disaster button early in my work.

TWO YEARS people have been asking for this feature!! TWO YEARS!!!

My server paused today and instead of clicking on "Go Back" after adding a new db user, the screen updated and the next thing I knew I had clicked on "Delete". I had just deleted a db today that I had just spent about 9 hours working on. No confirmation, nothing!!

I too agree with you guys. There should be a confirmation before any sort of deletion.

I agree.. confirmations should be on any critical action.
However, has anyone logged a feature request?

Yes, please remove confirmations from "Restart Services" section and put them on the databases.
