    Need FTP Help BAD!

Goes without saying that I'm no genius. And I am lost.

I'm a website designer who hosts out of necessity.

Thought my host (I'm a reseller) really knew his stuff until I started trying to set up an FTP upload. Great guy but I am getting the impression he doesn't know the FTP answers.

All I want to do is allow FTP uploads of graphics from a link on a web page. I have set up an account for this purpose. So far .... I am the only one that can do it. I am using this link on a web page....

    ftp://diamond+salesdepartment.com:norma@ftp.salesdepartment.com/

to open the folder using Internet Explorer. The plus + vs. the @ is for IE.

This works perfectly for "ME" .... AND ONLY ME! The link does not seem to work for anyone else? Even though the USER and the PASSWORD are in the link everyone else is asked to login and the password "norma" is promptly rejected?

I would sincerely appreciate ANY HELP in understanding WHAT is going on with this.

    That's not exactly good

First of all THANKS for the test.

I clicked your link using IE and "even though that's not really even the correct user" I went right in to the ENTIRE SITE. Super security?!

And, I even tested it AFTER I unchecked "Allow Access" and I unchecked "Allow Uploads"
    I still went right in?

Try again ... see if it still lets you in.

I have NO IDEA of how to do this the right way. This is beyond screwy. The more I play with it the worse it gets. How on earth does someone securely set this up?!

I want people to get into ONE FOLDER ONLY to paste a file.
