Need help with 1600 accounts

Someone ordered a high end reseller plan from me and he has 1600 clients which I just transferred to the server after days and days of work. Now how do I put them under the owners account so he has control over them? They are currently under root control and going to change ownership of account 1600 times will take forever.

Any help would be appreciated.

Login to WHM > Modify/Upgrade Multiple Aaccounts > Check the boxes of the accounts of that reseller > Scroll down to bottom and select his reseller account in "Reseller" dropdown > Click Change!

The only thing is that you need to check the 1600 boxes once, but you can do this with Keyboard (tab - spacebar - tab - spacebar - tab - spacebar .... do this while paying your favorite music) :D

cpanel place ownership into cpanel user file (/var/cpanel/users/userfile )
place users into file
edit all users in place with sed,awk... your fav one
i will give you hint with sed

for CPUSER in `cat users `;do sed -i 's/^OWNER=[A-Za-z0-9]*$/OWNER=newowner/' /var/cpanel/users/$CPUSER;done

test first , i recommend backup /var/cpanel/users/ before editing
