Our server crashed and I need to restore all the mysql databases.

The tech guys installed the new server with a new hardrive, but also mounted the old harddrive, which has the most recent mysql backups, and the most recent data, but I'm having trouble getting access to it?

I'm afraid to mount it, because I don't know if that will format it or not?

Or does WHM have a section for this?

How should I do this?

Is your old hard drive is a separate backup hard drive or the primary hard drive which is replaced previously?

If it is backup hard disk, once it is mounted, turn on the backup function via the WHM and you should be able to restore the account via WHM "Restore function"

it is the old hardrive, but the backups were stored in the /backups/cpbackups directory.

The problem is it will not mount...This is why I'm scared that if I really force a mount it might damage the data.

I think I found a bug with fedora that is causing the drive not to mount...

I think the dmraid has control of it, even though there is no raid configured.

I have to reboot to be sure
