I currently run my personal sites on a basic VPS with 256MB guaranteed ram and 512mb burtstable.

To reduce memory usage and load Spamasassin is disabled, the only spam protection present is Chirpy's exim deny acl. Spam is starting to come through again and I really need a solution for it.

What would you suggest?

Thanks

I don't recommend trying to run Cpanel with anything less 512 Mb minimum
and generally try to steer people away from using Cpanel with VPS servers

However ...

The best solution in your case would be to add RBL checks from within
Exim directly and not use any external 3rd party programs which would
just further complicate your limited resource issues.

Spiral, 256MB with 512MB burstable is fine for a basic system when cPanel and services has been correctly optimized. As I said, this VPS is only used for about 10 sites. The system runs with about 10-30MB of the 256MB free, its stable and been up well over a month now. cPanel works just fine on VPS servers.

I will look into adding RBL.

Thanks.
