Am currently upgrading to Apache 2.2 and I notice that mod_proxy is selected by default. But do I really need this one?

I'm not running ROR, not running Java/Tomcat. Just the usual PHPv5, MySQLv5, Exim, etc. stuff. I do however occassionally need remote access to a MySQL database.

Any reason I should install mod_proxy?

    Thanks very much.
