Hi,
My server ip is 203.xxx.xxx.110.Both the nameservers are on the same box
ie,ns1 - 203.xxx.xxx.110 and ns2- 203.xxx.xxx.111.I want to change the server and nameserver ips. to a another n/w.
I am planning to do it like this.
1.Get a trial licence for the new ip.
2.Change the namesever ip`s through the registrar.
3.Change the server ip by editing /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/eth0 and eth1 to the new network.
4.Connect the serevr to the router in which new ip pool is configured.
5.Restart the network
6.Use the IP Migration Wizard to migrate the accounts to the new ip.
7.Transfer the cpanel licence to the new ip.
Can anybody advice a better procedure than this.Do I need to follow any other steps.?If I follow the above steps,how much down time will be there?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
