Need to change Website Title within code

Hi,

I set up a Wordpress site on CPanel years ago. I would have used one of the wizards within CPanel; and not manually.

The title was "All The Very Best Gifts", which I would have put into the wizard's title box.

Now I plan to promote all sorts of stuff, not just gifts. So inside Wordpress I changed the title to "All The Very Best" but when browsing, and using the Back button and Forward button, I notice my site is still listed as "All The Very Best Gifts".

I went to File Manager to try and find which file has the code in with "All The Very Best Gifts" but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Does anyone here know where I need to go to change the title using the code please?

You wouldn't be changing this via the cPanel File Manager. That sort of thing is done inside your wordpress admin area:
General Settings

If you're using a custom style/theme you may have an option for this there as well worth looking for.

Hi,

Sorry but I don't think you read all my post.

I stated that I already changed it in Wordpress. At first that appeared to change it, but when clicking BACK in my browser it displayed All The Very Best Gifts.

That is why I specifically need to change the code.

And why I specifically joined this site!

I would not have done all that if it were something I could change in Wordpress.

Yes. I've merged your posts together for you.

I read your post completely. You do not change the title of your site from within the code of a Wordpress site.

You might not have saved your changes properly, your browser is caching the site, you might try another browser to confirm, or some other addon you may have installed is forcing the site title somehow. No clue, really. Still this is not an issue with your cPanel.
