    Hi,
I need to allow the system to upgrade my Exim but dont want it to upgrade/change etc my exim.conf as I have changes in there that get overwritten if the conf is updated.

If I set +i on exim.conf will it allow that or will the upgrade fail as it cant write to exim.conf ?

    Go on, have a guess
cPanel will remove the immutable flag and update it anyway. If you need to make changes you should do them through the Exim Configuration Editor in WHM. Otherwise, you'll simply have to monitor exim.conf for changes and reapply them if cPanel updates modify it.
