I have just noticed this problem with Neomail:

When a password for an email account is changed the address book previously created in Neomail gets deleted....
Is this a cpanel problem or not?

Has anuone else had this happen and if so how was it resolved?

    Probably a neomail bug.

This problem apparently still exists. I had to restore the /.neomail-joeblow/username/addressbook file after the user changed passwords.

I've never heard the problem before from any clients, so not many people must use Neomail. But a work around is that the user could backup (or rename) the addressbook files in each .neomail-whatever/username directory before they change passwords, then put the addressbook dbs back afterwards.
