    Updated kernel via up2date on my RH 7.2 server and now I get this error. Any ideas what went wrong?

    Thanks. But, this did not help. I cannot figure this problem out. Normal perl scripts work fine, but if it uses MD5, something is amiss.

    Have you tried install the MD5 module or reinstalling it. This is usually a standard module part of Perl.

    /scripts/cleanmd5 shoudl reinstall MD5 and Digest::MD5

    try installing these by hand and see if they error out.

    /scripts/perlinstaller MD5
    /scripts/perlinstaller Digest::MD5

    Yep, I re-installed the MD5 module and DIGEST::MD5 and this solved the problem.

    Thanks for the help.

    Yes, it was very strange. Maybe I made an error somewhere along the way while trouble shooting.
