Has anyone had any issues with neomail.pl processes getting hung on servers causing the loads to skyrocket until killed? If so what would be causing this?

Yes, we did have this problem on our 2-3 servers but all the server are now mail2dir converted and so the issue seems to have venished with neomail.

    Go on, have a guess
Indeed, Noemail isn't the most stable of scripts and I've seen it going into loops on many occassion. Not much you can do other than kill them off. I'd also recommend going to maildir and effectively ditching Neomail in the process.

I've been having this occur with 3 servers lately.... something has to be wrong because I've been using Neomail for years, and never had an issue.... now all of a sudden, its going into loops...

    You can :)
Just edit neomail.conf - there is a line somewhere down where you can change 2 to whatever you like.
I have mine at 8 meg
