Anyone know where NetPBM installs to on the system when using the RPM install feature? I installed it but need the path to it for a config script.

Thanks

Why is this cPanel's problem; this has nothing to do with their product.

/usr/local/netpbm

It is cPanel's problem when they offer an install tool within cPanel.

It shows netpbm is installed...but where?! Not in the default path...whereis and locate don't find it.

Has anyone figured out where exactly cPanel installs these packages to?

I guess it is back to the manual installs...though this isn't why I purchased cPanel.

Thanks...

I did have a list of them...but you get stuck on a track and damn it, it is suppose to be installed in a folder called /netpbm/ and I am going to make sure cPanel pays for this trouble...

Then I thought about what Confucius would say..

Man who go to bed with hard problem wake up with solution in hand.

All is good now.

It's not DarkORB's issue. WHM uses a standard script to access CPAN for all perl module installations. Simply visit CPAN to learn about the modules and how they are installed. WHM doesn't do anything 'different' or 'non-standard'.

Oddly enough, I ran

whereis pnmscale

And didn't see anything.

I've tried installing the RPM [for RH 8.0] not only by up2date but through the GUI tool.

Sorry to open a dead thread, but I ran into this issue too -- the solution was:

yum install netpbm

and

yum install netpbm-progs

The real key was netpbm-progs -- then the files I needed could be found in /usr/bin/
