We just upgraded to CPanel 6 and we are finding that new accounts that are setup do NOT resolve. We have looked at all relevant files and can't seem to find a problem. Is there anything we are missing???

    1) We checked the /etc/named.conf file to make sure there was an entry for the domain. There is.

    2) Then we checked the /var/named/ file to make sure that it first exixts, and that everything is good in it, and it is.

    3) This is a reseller account, so it was setup in the resellers WHM using the resellers name servers. So we checked the zone file for the resellers domain name and the correct name server and IP's are setup in his zone file. (The reseller has about 12 accounts and all of them are working fine using his name servers.)

    4) Checked the domain name in question to make sure the correct name server info appears. It has for more than 4 days now, can't be a propagation issue.

    5) Here is something that seems strange... We did a dig command on the domain name in question and here's what it shows this below (why is it not showing everything?):

    root@saturn [/etc]# dig

    ; <<>> DiG 9.2.0rc10 <<>>
    ;; global options: printcmd
    ;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: SERVFAIL, id: 4103
;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 0, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0

    ; IN A

    ;; Query time: 4 msec
    ;; SERVER:
    ;; WHEN: Wed Feb 19 19:14:58 2003
    ;; MSG SIZE rcvd: 38

    The zone file shows this:

    root@saturn [/var/named]# cat
    ; cPanel 5.x
    ; Zone file for
    1045696073 ; serial, todays date+todays
    28800 ; refresh, seconds
    7200 ; retry, seconds
    3600000 ; expire, seconds
    86400 ) ; minimum, seconds 14400 IN NS NS1.ARENACOMPUTERS.COM. 14400 IN NS NS2.ARENACOMPUTERS.COM. 14400 IN A 14400 IN A 14400 IN MX 0

    mail 14400 IN CNAME
    www 14400 IN CNAME
    ftp 14400 IN CNAME

Now... The one thing we found that was not right was that we recently moved our server to a new NOC, and we had the NS1.ARENACOMPUTERS.COM name server on the old IP, and the NS2 name server pointed to the new IP at the new NOC. Once we got the server moved to the new NOC we didn't change the NS1 over to the new IP. But all of his other accounts worked just fine and still do. So if the NS2 pointed to the new IP address why wouldn't it resolve the domain name like all of his other accounts are doing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! It's been 4 days and the customer is getting mad that it's not working yet. Are we missing anything, or is there a problem with Cpanel 6 Edge 63? When we first setup the account we were at Edge 49, so we upgraded to Edge 63 to see if there was any change. So after upgrading we deleted the account and resetup the domain, but still nothing.

    Thanks in advance...
