Hi,

Whenever I create a new account on my server, it sends me an email like..

"New account on svr1.changeme.com (sampleac.com)"

I have setup hostname correctly something like s3.mydomain.com in whm.

Where to modify svr1.changeme.com to my hostname?

thanks.

Hi People...
I too am facing the same issue with the WHM/CPanel.
I am able to see this "svr1.changeme.com" on my server details as well.
Could someone here please respond on this and help out on fixing this issue/bug.

I have tried to change my hostname from WHM as well as from my VPS Control panel, it alters the hostname and am able to reach the server with the hostname set.

But when i run these reports, it gives my server name to be as "svr1.changeme.com"

Awaiting for a fix help on this soon...

Hmm, not sure I understand correctly. You change the Hostname from here:
WHM > Networking Setup > Change Hostname

You change your System Email Preferences here:
WHM > Server Contacts > Change System Mail Preferences

Try this tool with your servers domain.com name you use for the hostname (not the host.name.com):

See any problems there?

There is a link on top of every page on these forums that's the best place to report a defect if you think you've come across one. It takes you here: http://go.cpanel.net/bugs
