just got a new apple imac with 10.6.7 on it....i cannot get into my email accounts with cpanel at all??? wierd thing is that everyone else i know can access the login screen but me. my computer just hangs up & spins when i type in the cpanel address?? (http://cpanel.domainname.com)
what is the possible problem? I tried to see if i had any firewalls up that could be blocking it but looks like there is not. i have all my business orders coming in & i can't open one email to answer them, please help asap!!!
I have tried safari & mozilla, i have updated software, nothing makes any difference?

    Hello :)

Have you tried accessing cPanel using the IP address instead? Example:

    http://IP:2082

If that URL fails to load, and you can confirm it's loading for others, then you may need to check with your ISP to determine if port 2082 is being blocked. For reference, here are the ports you may need to access:

    2082 - cPanel
    2083 - cPanel SSL
    2086 - Web Host Manager
2087 - Web Host Manager SSL
    2095 - Webmail
    2096 - Webmail SSL

    Thanks.

Also, which browser are you using? You might want to try another browser such as Firefox or Chrome if you are using Safari.

Next, could you try the secure url instead by using https://cpanel.domainname.com/ since maybe your host isn't allowing http to that url and the redirection may not be properly working for the "require SSL" setting.

I suggest contacting your web hosting provider for additional assistance if you have already tried all of the solutions listed in this thread. They can check to see if your IP address is logged during connection attempts.

    Thank you.
