On this page - Software Releases - cPanel Inc. it says "Our new DNS plugin system gives you the option of integrating non-cPanel DNS into your cPanel & WHM server."

Is any further information available on this new DNS plugin system?

We're just in the middle of re-writing our Plesk->cPanel DNS system and this sounds like it might make things a lot easier.

hmmmm re-reading that line a few times, makes me think that this new plugin actually does the opposite of what we do.

We import external zones into our cPanel DNS cluster, it sounds like this new feature allows you to use non-cPanel DNS servers with your cPanel web servers.

Kind-of. The feature provides a means of integrating an existing DNS cluster into cPanel & WHM's dnsadmin interface (which handles the majority of Zone modification in the product). Your existing cluster would need an API that can be wrapped into a Perl module that dnsadmin can use.

Documentation on this is in progress and should be forthcoming soon.

Does this mean that we will be able to use a Enkompass with a cPanel DNS cluster?

There are no plans for this at this time.

    Hi.

Has there been any update for this.
I would love to write an addon to run cPanel on a PowerDNS based MySQL Cluster
