In the upcoming 11.28 version, cPanel/WHM will offer integration with custom webmail applications.

Server owners will be able to offer third-party webmail applications, right from the cPanel interface.

If you have questions or comments about this feature, feel free to enter them here. Thanks!

Does this mean that this feature would allow us to create 3rd party applications for email collaboration?

I believe your summary is correct; the new feature means that you can now more easily integrate third-party webmail applications, including custom webmail applications that you develop. :)

Do you know if anyone already integrated their webmail platforms into it?

I would be interested on paid webmails as addons.

Can you provide a zip file with screen capture images and proposed knowledgebase article?

I am not sure what screen capture images you are looking for. I would imagine that what the end-result looks like depends on the specific webmail application that you decide to integrate.

Please refer to the following cPanel documentation article that details how to integrate custom webmail applications: Integrating Custom Webmail Applications
