new guy needs help editing cPanel

Hi there I am new to working with cPanel and I am not sure if this is the correct board to be posting this in, but I have a question or 2 that I need answered.

My boss has runs and owns a small web hosting company and he wants me to install new icons and onto our cPanel in the preferences tab such as a spam filter and billing etc. How do I go about making and adding such an icon.

I am sorry if I am using the improper terminology, I am learning this stuff on the fly.
