Just installed cpanel on a fedora core 1 box, and everything is running. I can see several instances of httpd running, and i can access the ip saying nothing is configured at this address.
    however when i goto
    https://xxx.xx.xxx.xx:2086 or 2087, i get absolutly nothing.
    Any ideas?

    Try
    http://xxx.xx.xxx.xx:2086

Remember 2086 and 2082 are http
and 2087 and 2083 are https

    stunnel is probably not running.

Would i have to be on the same LAN for initial setup?
Basically i brought machine to data center, and installed, and left facility.

Went home and am trying to setup now.
