As I am sure you are aware, new installations of cPanel are totally messed up right now. Common problems are:

    mySQL does not get installed
    eximstats doesnt start
    proftpd doesnt start
    postgresql fails as well

What are you guys doing to remedy this situation? I cannot possibly expect users to pay for new licenses when your software isnt installing correctly.

    OS's affected:

    FreeBSD
    RedHat9
    FedoraCore 1,2,3
    CentOS3.3

Please advise on when you feel this problem will be resolved.

    Mysql:

    /scripts/mysqlup --force
    cd /tmp
    ln -s /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

Set root pass for mysql via WHM and reboot.

Eximstats: Still working on this one

Proftpd: forget it, use WHM's option to switch to pureFTP and it'll install and run just fine. Haven't tried switching back to pro after that because ProFTPD is so slow etc I won't use it.

Postgresql: Make sure the RPM's are installed via WHM's RPM install method, then rest the postgresql config via WHM, then go back and set the pass for it.

I agree, don't release a version that cannot even be installed on the web's oldest host OD, FreeBSD.

Serverpronto is having a hell of a time and I need my box up and running now!!!
