I had a single machine with ns1.domain and ns2.domain as nameservers on seperate IPs. I've got another machine now, and would like ns2.domain to be moved to the new server. I have enabled DNS clustering, and added the IP address of the new machine to the pool of IP addresses to be used... every time I try to add the ns2 record though, i get the following:-

    I've looked through /var/named/mydomain.com.db but I can't see a record for ns2, I'm not sure where i'm going wrong.

BTW: domain and mydomain.com have obviously been substituted for my real domain. :)

Assuming that every thing, DNS wise, was configured properly on both servers. You need to get CPanel/WHM to delete the DNS zone: ns2.domain, although it doesn't exist, physically.

Login to WHM >> DNS Functions >> Delete a DNS Zone

Enter ns2.domain in the Choose a Zone to Delete and hit delete.

    Hope this helps!
