I just moved an account from one server to another yesterday (meaning, new IP and new nameservers). The new server is pinging correctly, but for some reason Outlook is still logging in to the old server for email.

If I go through Webmail, the emails are on the new server, so I know that's working correctly. And when I ping mail.mydomain.com, it returns the new IP. But when I use mail.mydomain.com as my POP3 server in Outlook, it's going to the old IP.

Is there a way to force Outlook to log in to the new server instead of the old?

    Hi,

Dont know why you have this problem but you can try this.
Go to dos box and use the following command
    ipconfig /flushdns
I think maybe your cache has the old ip and not the new?
    also you can try this.
edit \windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file and put the right info in.

    Ronald.
