I'm moving to a new host and wish to make the hostname ssl.

I have three ips'. 2 being used for nameservers, and the last is currently been used for the FQDN that will be the hostname, This IP is shown as being used by the domain & shared by root. The sharing is causing me problems as I have purchased a ssl certificate but cannot install it ......

Anyone aware of a solution where the IP is shared with root ?

You should be able to install onto the user nobody, since the hostname should not be owned by an account on the server but that user.

Of note, if you wish cPanel, WHM, webmail and so on to use the SSL, you'll also need to install it in WHM > Manage Service SSL Certificates area.
